The lighthouse was built in 1901 on the steep rocks of Cape Spathi, 65 meters above sea level. It is automatic, with a 18 nautical miles luminosity. The stone finishing around the windows and wall corners make it one of the most beautiful lighthouses of the Cyclades. The old cobblestoned path in front of the lighthouse will lead you to the sea. Many years ago, the lighthouse keepers left their boat on the beach and used the same path to get to the lighthouse.
