Katsouni Beach is located in the village of Psara (eastern side). It is a sandy beach with shallow waters which attracts many visitors.
At the end of the beach you will see Spitalia (residue of the word hospital). It was an old quarantine place where people of Psara had to stay in after they returned from their travels in case an illness manifests. When it was proven that they were healthy, they were allowed to go back to their families. The place currently operates as a cafe - restaurant.
Beach Volley tournaments take place on this beach every summer with the help of the cultural association “Adelfotita Psarianon” (=Brotherhood of the people of Psara).
